Dutch Retreat (19 – 24 August 2014)
Understanding Is Love
Retreat with Thich Nhat Hanh and the monks and nuns of the EIAB and from Plum Village.
Understanding is the basis for all deep love, whether for ourselves or for others. It is important that we learn to accept and understand ourselves. As our understanding for ourselves grows, we are better able to understand and accept those around us.
Our relationships – with our partners, family, friends, neighbors and work colleagues - have a major effect on our well-being. However, love needs daily nourishment in the form of mindfulness, loving kindness, compassion, joy and impartiality. We will learn, and practice, new ways to strengthen the happiness and harmony within ourselves and in our relationships.
Retreat language: English with translation into Dutch.

Nourishing Happiness in Our Hearts
Retreat with Thich Nhat Hanh and the monks and nuns of the EIAB and from Plum Village
Usually external conditions are sufficient for us to be happy, but our mind has the habit of being attached to the negative aspects of life, to criticisms, worries and problems. Rather than seeking ever more stimulus from outside, we will focus on what is inside. We will discover which inner attitudes harm us and which insights increase our happiness and nourish our joy. It will become clear that our happiness is not dependent on the ups and downs of life outside ourselves, but on our willingness to find happiness where it is: in the present moment.
Retreat language: English with translation into German.
A program is offered in German for both children and Teenagers.
